What is Condominium Management all about?
If you have bought a property which is part of a Condominium, you and your neighbouring owners are obliged to make arrangements to maintain and service the jointly-owned fabric of the development. Once the Property Developer or Builder departs, you have to set up a Management Company of Owners, and we can help you.
Our company, PortScot Condominium Management Services, is totally independent of the developer or builder and acts for the Owners' Group. It is run by Filipa Costa (also called 'Xana') who is Portuguese, who has been involved in the property and tourism industry for many years, but is now working independently from home in Sao Martinho do Porto.
With Xana's local knowledge and connection with utility & service suppliers, and with her fluent Portuguese (naturally! -- and she also speaks perfect English of course!), she and her team can manage all necessary requirements for your Portuguese property, be it your main residence, or a foreign investment that you sometimes let out to visitors. We act primarily for the owners' group; if you are an individual owner and you intend to let your property out, you will need to look after the needs of your guests yourself, or employ a local agent.
We find this is a wonderful place to live; but problems can arise because you don't understand the Portuguese administration or you are not always here. Let us take away those little problems, so you can relax and enjoy this place as well.
